PHARMACY STRATEGY: Pharmacy Conferences

 You may know that attending pharmacy conferences has long been one of my favorite activities.  

There are so many reasons why.

From the networking to current educational topics.  I get a huge return on my investment in my development by attending. 

    But one of my favorite reasons to attend is to learn the great innovative pharmacy services being provided across the country or world.

Here are the conference I am planning for 2023.  

• American Pharmacists Association (APHA) - March
• Ohio Pharmacists Association (OPA) - April
• Medipreneurs Summit - June
• American Society of Health System Pharmacists (ASHP) Summer Meeting - June
• ASHP Conference for Pharmacy Leaders - October
• Ohio Society of Health System Pharmacists (OSHP) - November 
• ASHP Mid-Year Clinical Meeting - December 

Plus, I also hope to speak at a few additional conferences to spread the word of my motto that "Pharmacy Can Do More with More". 

So, what is your 2023 pharmacy conference strategy? 

CAREER DEVELOPMENT:  Quarter 1 (Q1) Goals

      I hope you have had time to choose your annual goals. 

It is time to schedule and execute on your goals. 

We are in week 3 of 2023. (Yes, already)

But you have 10 more weeks in the quarter to make progress.

Take the time now to confirm what top 1-2 goals you want to accomplish this quarter, identify the actions and choose what week you will complete it. 

Consider goals for yourself, family/friends, career, and community. 

The final step is to schedule the time in your calendar!

FUN & JOY:   Spontaneous Activities

While this time of the year we have a big focus on planning for the year, the question of spontaneity comes up.

 I actually think that scheduling blocks of time so that we are focused on our priorities actually allows us to make quick decisions to do spontaneous activities.
