Hillary Blackburn, PharmD, MBA is a clinically and business trained pharmacist who's been practicing for almost a decade in a variety of healthcare settings. She has experience in healthcare strategy, business development, formulary development and management, consulting, and establishing successful medication access programs. In her current role, she serves as the Director of Pharmaceutical Services at Dispensary of Hope, a national non-profit medication distributor hosted by Ascension where she oversees the formulary, leads research initiatives, and manages the network of strategic advisors on Dispensary of Hope's Pharmacy Advisory Council. Dr. Blackburn was selected to serve in a national leadership position on the American Pharmacists Association's (APhA) - APPM Executive Committee for 2021-2022. Additionally, she serves as Co-Chair for the Advocacy Committee for APhA's Care of the Underserved Special Interest Group and as a member of the Membership Engagement and Legislative and Policy committees for the Tennessee Pharmacist Association. Dr. Blackburn also precepts Belmont University College of Pharmacy student pharmacists and serves on the Dean's External Advisory Committee. Dr. Blackburn is a graduate of the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy and completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Derek Borkowski, PharmD is a pharmacist, software engineer, and the founder and CEO of Cosmas Health. His background includes experience in community pharmacy, digital health, and the pharmaceutical industry. Kelley D. Carlstrom received her Doctor of Pharmacy from The University of Colorado and completed post-graduate residency training at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, MA. She is a board-certified oncology pharmacist that has worked in a variety of traditional and non-traditional settings including a large academic medical center where she specialized in blood and marrow transplantation, at a small community hospital, as a consultant for a large electronic medical record implementation, and most recently at a healthcare technology startup company committed to building software products for oncology clinicians. Dr. Brittany Hoffmann-Eubanks is the Founder and CEO of Banner Medical LLC and a native of the Chicago-land-area in Illinois. Banner Medical combines her passion for writing with her medical background as a pharmacist. Dr. Cory Jenks, earned his PharmD from the University of South Carolina in 2011 and completed a PGY1 residency at the Southern Arizona VA Healthcare System in 2012. His past pharmacy experience has included time as a retail pharmacist, outpatient clinical pharmacist, and inpatient clinical pharmacist. Currently, he practices as an Ambulatory Care Clinical Pharmacy Specialist where he applies his passion for lifestyle interventions in the management of chronic disease. Cory is also an accomplished improv comedian, having started on his comedy journey in 2013. Since then, Cory has coached, taught, and performed improv for thousands of people. Angela Orr certified life coach, certified Heart Math practitioner, pharmacist of 36 years and serial entrepreneur. I was fortunate to experience many different settings in pharmacy. After working in hospital pharmacy I went into home infusion therapy in the early 1980’s. I had always worked part time in community based pharmacies that were independently owned. I then transitioned and worked for an insurance company as the executive liaison with the pharmacy benefit managers (PBM). It was there that I began to see how pharmacies were treated by the payers and chose to leave. Back to retail for me, which has been my love. It was there that I felt I could truly make an impact and help make a difference for people in their life. I see that sentiment in most of the pharmacists I interact with. Along the journey I opened and owned, for a total of 15 years, two of my own pharmacies in Maine. With increasing regulations, tightening reimbursements, and a breast cancer diagnosis I decided to change my focus to offering non dispensing care. So I sold my pharmacies and have transitioned to becoming a certified life coach, certified HeartMath practitioner and Business coach. Sue Paul is a pharmacist, entrepreneur and small business owner with over 20 years of experience in the industry. After journeying through the traditional pharmacy avenues of retail, nursing home consulting, and hospital, she founded SyneRxgy (pronounced si·nr·jee) Consulting LLC, a concierge pharmacy service that is registered as a Limited Category 2 Pharmacy in the State of Ohio. SyneRxgy assists patients and physicians in managing chronic disease states including medication adjustments and education, implementing and analyzing pharmacogenomic and nutrigenomic testing for patients, and compiling/reviewing current medication lists for patients. She enjoys educating clients on all aspects of medication to empower them to take control of their health. Current worksites include physician offices, employer worksites, and in-home patient visits. Ken Sternfeld is a life long dreamer who believes that there is more to get out of life when you focus on helping others.
